Lets start with Christmas! We went to the Grove OK Chrismast tree lighting last week and also walked in the Grove Christmas parade beside our Church float handing out candy and spreading the good news about the real meaning of Christmas, the celebration of the birth or our lord and savior Jesus Christ, Good Times! And we won best theme float on top of that!
We cut a tree from here on the Lodge property and put it up in the office. We also hung the stockings for the kids and grandkids that will be here next week! Not much room in the camper so were utilizing the office space.

Meet Will Davis Jr and Tim Dube. They stayed with us this past week while scouting Grand Lake in preperation for the 2024 Bassmaster Classic. Will and Tim are both BASS Nation guys that qualified this year through the BASS Nation. Will is the Back to Back Champion, winning the BASS Nation Championship in both 2022 and 2023. He also earned a berth into the Bassmaster Elite Series with that 2022 win! Tim finished as the runner up in the 2023 BASS Nation Championship, earning a Classic berth, but because Will was already qualified for the 2024 Bassmaster Elite Series, that BASS Nation berth fell to Tim! So, he will be joining Will on the Bassmaster Elite series for 2024! Valerie and I would like to wish them well in the Classic that is right here on Grand Lake, as well as in their 2024 Elite Series season!
Got a chance to get out on the water a few times since the last blog. The bass have been eating good, feeding up for winter! The lake level has been hovering around 742.00. Pool is 744.00 so its a couple of feet down, which is normal for this time of year. The water temp is between 49 and 53 degrees depending on where you are. Now I am not very good at the FFS thing (just learning) I'm a bank beater... what im trying to say is take my Grand Lake Fishing Report with a grain of salt! LOL ....... I caught 25 fish one day, 30 the next, took a couple of days off then had a couple of 10-12 fish days. A couple 3 pound fish each day with the biggest being 4 pounds. Lots of 13" fish. Lots of fun. Catching most on Crankbaits in abot 4' to 7' of water and some decent fish on Tubes behind boat docks, where there were laydowns in 1'-2' of water. I will say that I have not really been targeting fish.... I have been putting in at different parts of the lake and just putting the trolling motor down. Im just tryning to learn each and every creek and pocket until I have covered the whole lake. The 25-30 fish days, I was in the Honey Creek area and the 10-12 fish days, I was in the main lake area between Shangri La and Sailboat Bridge.

Dont forget about about The Lake Lodge at Grand Lake O' the Cherokees for Christmas. It would be a great place for overflow family and we have availability! We have 10 sleeping rooms. Each has two (2) double beds, a 42" smart TV, min fridge, microwave, coffee maker, wifi, lighted, covered pull through boat parking, outdoor TV to watch the game while rigging tackle, BBQ grills, picnic tables and a large fire pit for those cool nights! Plus two full hook up RV Pads!
