Hello, My name is Jon Stewart. My wife Valerie and I (below) just opened (above) The Lake Lodge at Grand Lake O' the Cheokees! We were both raised in KS. Valerie in Western KS in the small town of Quinter, and I was raised in the small town of Solomon. We're small town.... Got married 36 years ago in Salina KS, moved to Webb City, MO where we spent 10 years and our kids were raised there, mostly. I think my daughter is still mad at me for taking a job with B.A.S.S. (Bassmaster) where we spent a couple years apart, me in Florida and the family in Webb City until moving Valerie and our daughter to Florida for her HS years. We spent a few years in Florida and then 13 Years in Birmingham, AL , 18 years with B.A.S.S., before selling everything we own to come back "home" (close to home) and build this Lodging at Grand Lake Oklahoma.
What I would like to do with this blog is make it informational for the angler. We feel like my extensive knowledge of the fishing tournament scene and what the angler is looking for will be key for this blog and for running this lodge. I will be posting tournament results, upcoming events, lake level, places to stay (if we are full, LOL) places to eat, things to do besides fishing!
Lodging Grand Lake Oklahoma
With this first blog, I would like to tell you about our place. The Lake Lodge at Grand Lake O' the Cherokees. We have 10 sleeping rooms. Each has two (2) double beds, a 42" smart TV, min fridge, microwave, coffee maker, wifi, lighted, covered pull through boat parking, outdoor TV to watch the game while rigging tackle, BBQ grills, picnic tables and a large fire pit for those cool nights! Plus two full hook up RV Pads!
